Like the folk artists and work exhibited at the old ranch house, the Lee family is an integral part of Trinity and Northern California tradition, as are all the Chinese who migrated here during California's gold rush era. The restored ranch house sits on a hillside behind the Trinity County Museum and Historic Park in Weaverville. Inside, a various and ever-changing array of artisans--quilters, a glass artist, an accupressurist, and a wood carver--practice their crafts or instruct apprentices in the intricacies of folk artistry.
The ranch house features a variety of quality craft shows and cultural exhibits, and an art gallery displaying the work of ranch house artists in residence. Many of the items are for sale.
The old ranch house was the office of the Trinity County Arts Council now is located in the Main Street Gallery in Weaverville. The Lee Ranch House is currently Leased by Shasta College. The various rooms of the bulding are accupied by various artist's studios and galleries. Many of the items displayed are for sale.
