Creek Garden Cottage is a vacation home located within the friendly village
of Coffee Creek, near a country cafe, grocery store and gas station, while
retaining the privacy of a mountain hideaway.
The cottage is hidden away among the native pines, fir and cedar of the Trinity Alps, where dogwood, redbud and a blaze of mountain wildflowers blossom in the spring, fern and evergreens provide cool tranquility through the summer, fall foliage comes to life in the autumn, and winter brings quiet solitude among the white splendor of snow.
The fireplace
insert wood stove provides the centerpiece for quiet discussion, relaxation
and romance. The cottage accommodates up to six adults with a fully-equipped
kitchen, two bedrooms, a full bath, and a living room with a queen-sized
divan/bed. Other amenities include a full bath, TV/VCR, and a stereo. A
backyard barbecue-picnic-campfire area is the setting for marshmallow roasts,
campfires and steak barbecues. A fully-equipped pantry has a washer/dryer,
linens and beach towels.
We also provide bicycles and helmets (all sizes, including toddler sizes with training wheels), professional horseshoe and volleyball courts, lawn croquet, badminton, tether ball, teeter-totter, swings, and inner tubes.
Blackberry Garden Cottage is located within the community of Coffee
Creek, one-quarter mile off State Route 3, just north of Trinity Lake,
and 38 miles north of Weaverville. If you're coming from the south on Interstate
5, take Highway 299 West from Redding, about 45 miles to Weaverville, then
turn north on State Highway 3.
If you're coming from Oregon on Interstate 5, take the Highway 3 Exit at
Yreka. Coffee Creek is about 70 miles from Yreka.
From Highway 101, Take Highway 299 East at Arcata, about 100 miles to Weaverville,
then north on State Route 3.
Activities
within walking distance include swimming in the Trinity River, day hikes
into the Trinity Alps, bike rides on quiet country lanes, and communing
with the neighborhood squirrels, raccoons, chipmunks, deer and songbirds.
Within a short drive is Trinity Lake, where you can ski, fish or spend a quiet afternoon on a patio boat. Alpen Cellars, Trinity County's award-winning winery offers tours and tastings among their beautiful vineyards.. The historic communities of Weaverville and Lewiston, with quaint boutiques, art galleries and wonderful restaurants, are within a 45-minute drive.
In the winter, nearby Scott Mountain is a favorite for cross country skiing, sledding and snowmobiles. It is even possible to arrange a dogsled adventure.
Other activities include horseback rides, whitewater rafting, local theater presentations and faires and festivals.
COFFEE CREEK VILLAGE offers dining at the Forest Cafe, groceries, gifts, gas and supplies at the Country Store and deli, a laundromat, video rentals, and worship services at the Coffee Creek Community Church.

A 20 percent deposit is due upon making the reservation, with the balance due on arrival (personal or cashier's checks are acceptable).
Providing we are able to rebook the cottage, a refund of the deposit, less 20 percent for handling, will be returned.
Check in is between 4:30 and 5:30 pm. A courtesy phone call is appreciated
when arrival is delayed.
Checkout is by 10:00 am, unless otherwise arranged by prior agreement.
Pets are alllowed at extra charge per night for each pet. Pets must comply with Trinity County Leash Law.
No motorcycles. Smoking is permitted outside of the cottage.
